Publishing Trimmed Sermon Files
Objective
This SOP outlines the steps to publish trimmed sermon files on the church's media platform, ensuring both video and audio files are correctly uploaded and configured for user access.
Key Steps
Accessing the Livestream Dashboard 0:00
- Start at the Church Plant Media Livestream dashboard.
- Navigate to the 'Archives' tab.
- Select the service from which you have already trimmed the file.
Copying the MP4 File URL 0:16
- Locate the video links below the selected service.
- Copy the URL for the MP4 file.
Uploading the MP4 File to CMS 0:32
- Switch to the CMS tab.
- Go to the 'Content' section, then the 'Files' section.
- Click 'Add New File' and select 'Link to File'.
- Enter the MP4 file URL, the date of the sermon, and label it as 'Stream File'.
- Click 'Add File'.
Uploading the Audio File to CMS 1:20
- Return to the Livestream dashboard.
- Copy the URL for the audio version.
- In CMS, add another new file, link to file.
- Label this file as 'Audio', include the date of submission, and call it 'Stream'.
- Click 'Add File'.
Uploading the Video Archive File 2:05
- Right-click the 'Download Video Archive' button and select 'Copy Link Address'.
- Back in CMS, add another new file, link to file.
- Label this file as 'Video', include the date of the sermon, and leave it as is for download.
- Click 'Add File'.
Uploading the Audio Archive File 2:52
- Copy the link address for the audio archive file.
- In CMS, select 'Files' tab, add a new file, link to file.
- Label this file as 'Audio', include the date of submission, and paste the download URL.
- Click 'Add File'.
Adding Media Files to the Sermon 3:11
Navigate to the 'Sermons' section and access the sermon you added earlier.
Click 'Add Media Files' and select from the library:
- Add the Stream File.
- Add the Audio Stream File.
- Add the Video Download File.
- Add the Audio Download File.
Configuring Download Options 3:47
- Disable the download option for the Stream Files to ensure they play directly in the browser.
- Ensure the download options are enabled for the other two files.
Publishing the Sermon 4:11
- Once all files are added and configured, click 'Publish' to make the sermon live.
Verifying Published Content 4:21
- Check the sermons page to confirm the presence of 'Watch', 'Listen', and 'Download' buttons.
- Ensure that the stream files do not have download options and function correctly.
Cautionary Notes
- Ensure all URLs are copied correctly to avoid broken links.
- Double-check that the correct files are labeled appropriately to prevent confusion for users.
